Kristin Chenoweth to Perform…but not this April!

If you don’t know who Kristin Chenoweth is, well, then either you don’t really follow musical theater or you’re not from Oklahoma.  Actually, Ms. Chenoweth is no longer just a musical theater personality—she’s branched out into television and music.  In fact, she won an Emmy award for her role on the great television series Pushing Daisies last year.  She also won a Tony for her role as Sally Brown in the musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and created the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked.  Some of her other television roles include appearing in over thirty episodes of The West Wing and guest starring on Glee and American Idol.

Kristin Chenoweth has an amazing voice, that much is for sure. When she speaks, her high pitched tone may make you wonder about her singing ability, but once the music starts, you’ll be blown away.

Now, here’s the sad news, and the reason I’m writing this article: if you had heard about Ms. Chenoweth’s performance with the OKC Philharmonic Pops series on April 1 and 2, you’re going to be disappointed.  It looks like her concert has been rescheduled for October 15 and 16!  I’ve been waiting to purchase tickets for the event, but it looks like I (and all of the other Chenoweth fans) will just have to wait a bit longer.

Blogs about Ms. Chenoweth:

Kristin’s Blog may or may not be written by the actress/singer herself.

The Zap2It blog talks about Ms. Chenoweth’s appearance on American Idol and has a video clip of her singing on Pushing Daisies.

The About Kristin Chenoweth blog keeps fans updated on what the actress is doing.

Finally, here’s an interesting video posted on Newsweek’s blog – Seven things you didn’t know about Kristin Chenoweth.  She sings at the end of the interview.
