Oklahoma City Summer Classic Dog Show

If you are looking for something new and different to do in the Oklahoma City area this month, then you will want to check out the Oklahoma City dog show that is hosted by the OKC Kennel Club.  This dog show will be running through the first weekend of July, with finals beginning on the third of July at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City.  So, even if you do not want to take the time to go to the dog show every day, you can simply go for a short period of time during any of the days that the show is in question.

The good news is that tickets are more than reasonable at just $7.00 each for adults, kids under twelve are $2.00, and children under three are free.  Not to mention the fact that there are discount vouchers available from Little Caesar’s in the metro area.  So, if you want to take your kids on a small outing that will allow them to see a lot of different dogs in a controlled setting then this might be the perfect outing for you and your family.

There are going to be thousands of different dogs from around the globe that will be involved in this competition, with more than one hundred and forty five different breeds of dogs.  In addition to all of this doggie pandemonium, there are going to be a large collection of vendor booths, more than fifty in all, that are going to offer a wide range of dog related paraphernalia.  Not to mention the fact that you can also visit with different owners and attend seminars that will be given by the American Kennel Club and Purina if you want to know more about the different breeds of dog or about canines in general.  So, if you love dogs, or if you just want to be a big hit with your kids, then this is something that you will definitely want to put on your event calendar.
