There are Many Things to Enjoy at the State Fair

The Oklahoma State Fair is one of the largest and most interesting events that takes place each fall. There are often so many different things going on at once that it is difficult to know exactly what events are going on at what times. There are so many options that it is good to make sure you know exactly what concerts and entertainment events are going on at any given time so that you can plan your trip to the fair accordingly.

If you have children then you might want to catch the Disney on Ice exhibition that will start on September 15th and run through September 20th. This year the feature is Toy Story 3.

Each night there will be a band playing on the main Chesapeake Energy Stage for your enjoyment. Here is a list of the scheduled groups and the nights and times that they will be performing.

Centennial Rodeo Opry

There will also be a number of different local bands and events hosted on the BandShell stage as well, although there is not a complete listing of these events. However, if you would like to do something on this stage you can still apply up until the fair begins on September 15th.

Besides all of the various agricultural and rodeo events that are an integral part of the state fair, you can also find a wide array of delicious food and beverage options. The routine options range from Indian Tacos and BBQ to Wisconsin Cheese and Strawberry Newport. However, there are also quite a few interesting and unusual choices to consider as well, including fried tomatoes, fried pickles, and fried peaches. Then you have the downright bizarre foods that can include such abnormalities as fried butter and chocolate covered bacon.

However, one thing is certain, no matter which culinary and event options you decide on, you can rest assured that your experience at the fair will be one that you will remember.
