The Oklahoma City Zoo has built a number of new additions recently, with the newest one being the Children’s Zoo. The idea behind this 2.5 acre addition was to give children a place where they can learn, explore, and even touch animals and animal habitats. The exhibit just opened in March, and if you’re planning a trip to the zoo with children, you simply can’t pass it by. Here are a few of the Children’s Zoo’s highlights.

Headed down to Oklahoma City’s Bricktown this summer? There are many different events going on, from sporting games to live music to boat rides on the canal. However, if you’re headed to Bricktown, there are a few tips to keep in mind to make your visit more enjoyable. Trust me, nothing spoils a visit to OKC like a bad evening in Bricktown.
I love trying new places to eat, especially new independent restaurants that aren’t part of a huge chain. Sometimes, these places are a disappointment, but sometimes, they’re incredible. The new Sweet Tea Restaurant on NW 23rd Street near Classen is one of these incredible places.

Well, the weather certainly brought a surprise for Oklahoma City on Christmas Eve! I woke up early to go visit my grandparents, and what did I find? Blowing, swirling snow. It wasn’t sticking, however, and I thought it would be no problem to drive in. While visibility was certainly bad at times, I left early enough that it wasn’t horrible. After spending several good hours with family, I was ready to head back home and attend another Christmas Eve function.
